Arkadiusz Mularczyk: “The European Parliament should strengthen its relations with the United States”

Arkadiusz Mularczyk: “The European Parliament should strengthen its relations with the United States”

On the first day of the European Parliament’s mini-plenary session in Brussels, a debate took place on EU–U.S. relations in the context of the U.S. presidential election results. PiS MEP Arkadiusz Mularczyk spoke during the debate.

Arkadiusz Mularczyk said that the American people had given President Trump a mandate to be America’s new leader. “Our goal, as the European Parliament, should be equally clear—to develop and strengthen relations with the United States,” the MEP stated.

The Polish politician reported that a few days ago he had returned from an EP delegation to Fort Worth, Texas, where American and European parliamentarians exchanged experiences and views. He added that all parliamentary political groups participated in the delegation, particularly politicians representing Central European countries, but unfortunately there were no representatives from Germany or France.

“All delegations agree that the European Union’s development and cooperation with the United States are essential. This serves our security as well as our economic development,” — said the MEP, emphasizing the special role these relations play for Central European countries, including Poland.
