Jacek Ozdoba: “Thanks to your policies, right-wing forces in Europe will only grow stronger”

Jacek Ozdoba: “Thanks to your policies, right-wing forces in Europe will only grow stronger”

In Strasbourg, during a plenary session of the European Parliament, a debate took place on recent legislative changes in Hungary and their impact on fundamental rights. MEP Jacek Ozdoba spoke on behalf of the ECR Group

Ozdoba stated that while Europe is grappling with inflation and a migration crisis, the Parliament “as usual is focusing on something that has been taken out of context and distorted.” “How is it possible that this ‘party on the Titanic’ is still going strong when we’re in the midst of a massive crisis?” the politician asked, suggesting that perhaps they should start debating what is happening in certain countries, such as Poland, where “a murderer sentenced to life in prison is being released.”

“How is it possible that the opposition leader in France is being convicted? How is it possible that in Romania, certain stories are being fabricated with the aim of undermining democracy?” Ozdoba asked.

The MEP stated that “the next elections will show that right-wing forces in Europe will gain ground.” He also quoted U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, who said that “democracy is under threat in Europe today.” “And it would be good if we debated the issue of democracy, rather than whether parents have the right to raise their children according to their own beliefs,” he said.

“Hungary offers freedom and protects children from ideological madness, Ozdoba said, pointing out that “after all, there are two genders; this is obvious, and no one should argue with it anymore.”
