In Strasbourg, during a plenary session of the European Parliament, a debate took place titled “Cooperation Between Conservatives and the Far Right as a Threat to Competitiveness in the EU.” PiS MEP Jadwiga Wiśniewska spoke during the debate.
“The topic of this debate should be the cooperation of the left-liberal majority as a threat to Europe’s competitiveness. How can you not be ashamed to shift the blame for the consequences of the Green Deal onto the right wing of the political spectrum?” asked Jadwiga Wiśniewska, emphasizing that she was the one who had warned against the consequences of climate policy. “It was the EPP that called itself the party of the Green Deal and compared it to the Copernican revolution,” the PiS MEP recalled.
The Polish politician also noted that the fact that European companies are moving outside the EU because they cannot bear the costs of climate policy was completely ignored. “You didn’t care that energy poverty was on the rise. You have pursued the Green Deal at all costs and want to continue doing so,” Wiśniewska added, saying that it is, in fact, “a road to nowhere.” Furthermore, the PiS MEP noted, the agreement with Mercosur and the Migration Pact are being pushed through. “You are setting the European Union up for even deeper destruction. It’s time to stop the Green Deal. It’s green madness that is destroying the competitiveness of European industry,” she urged.
