Tobiasz Bocheński: “EU policy is dragging our continent, our entrepreneurs, and our homelands to the bottom”

Tobiasz Bocheński: “EU policy is dragging our continent, our entrepreneurs, and our homelands to the bottom”

In Strasbourg, on the first day of the European Parliament’s September plenary session, a discussion was held titled “Facilitating the financing of investments and reforms aimed at improving Europe’s competitiveness and creating a capital markets union (Draghi report).” During the debate, PiS MEP Tobiasz Bocheński pointed out that the solutions proposed by the Commission and the Parliament “do not meet the expectations of Europeans” and “are dragging our continent down.”

Tobiasz Bocheński noted that this is yet another debate on the same issue and “no solutions are in sight.” He stated that the European Parliament and the European Commission are unable to provide solutions that meet the expectations of Europeans. As he pointed out, the Draghi report clearly states: The EU is losing the competition with China, losing the competition with the United States; it is not competitive and has virtually no capital or economic advantages—and it has lost all of them precisely under the European Commission’s leadership.

“And despite numerous arguments and explanations that the problem lies in the bureaucracy, overregulation, and socialism created by you on the left, you refuse to understand this,” Bocheński stated.

“You are dragging our continent, our entrepreneurs, and our homelands to the bottom. If this continues, the Chinese and Americans will come here on vacation to visit an open-air museum called Europe, concluded the PiS politician.
