Anna Fotyga calls for unconditional and immediate support for Ukraine

On the second day of the European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg, a debate took place on the need for unwavering EU support for Ukraine two years after Russia’s invasion of the country. PiS MEP Anna Fotyga spoke during the discussion.

“To survive and maintain the collective West’s advantage—both military and economic—we must support Ukraine, which is fighting on our behalf and bleeding. Now, immediately, and without preconditions. Without the charade of treaty amendments, budget reforms, or blackmailing small member states, appealed the former head of Polish diplomacy. In her view, military support should be the priority, as this falls within the competence of individual states. Anna Fotyga added that strong political will is needed to overcome all obstacles. She admitted that her hope for such a solution is slim. “But they say hope is the last to die, so perhaps I’ll live to see positive results, the Polish politician concluded.
