Conference at the European Parliament: “Stop Foreign Subversion”

A conference titled “Stop Foreign Subversion” was held at the European Parliament, organized by MEP Dominik Tarczyński, focusing on the threats posed by foreign interference in the European Union and the mechanisms used to undermine democracy, the sovereignty of member states, and social cohesion.

In his speech, Dominik Tarczyński recalled the Qatargate scandal, in which attempts to bribe some MEPs to advance the interests of foreign Islamic states were exposed. He emphasized that such actions undermine EU institutions, weaken democracy, and threaten European values, contributing to the rise of globalist ideologies that disregard the rights of nations and individual freedom. Tarczyński also highlighted the role of the Visegrad Group countries in protecting sovereignty and patriotic values, citing Poland as an example of a country that consistently defends its citizens against foreign influence. The MEP emphasized that awareness of the threats posed by corruption and unchecked interference by foreign powers is crucial for Europe’s survival as a community of nations.

The conference featured three thematic panels:

  • “Tolerating the Intolerant: Why Islamist Organizations and Their Media Should Be Banned”
  • “Why Iran Matters: The Influence of the Islamic Regime in the EU”
  • “Why Western ‘new media’ and political influencers are a positive force”

Members of the European Parliament, including Charlie Weimers and Emmanouil Fragkos, also participated in the panels. Other speakers included media experts, scholars, and representatives of the international community, who discussed strategies to counter foreign interference and protect democracy in Europe.

The conference aimed to raise awareness of the threats posed by foreign subversion and to identify ways to defend democracy, sovereignty, and social cohesion in the European Union, as well as to highlight the importance of cooperation among nations in protecting European values.
