During the European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg, Małgorzata Gosiewska spoke in a thematic debate titled “The Urgent Need to Combat Discrimination in the EU Through a Horizontal Anti-Discrimination Directive,” organized at the request of the S&D political group.
In her speech, the MEP sharply criticized the concept of yet another horizontal anti-discrimination directive being pushed by left-wing factions, pointing out that despite decades of “anti-discrimination” resolutions, task forces, and mechanisms, social problems—according to their own assessments—are not disappearing but are actually worsening. “This is proof that your ideas have nothing to do with reality—not even the one you yourselves are trying to create,” emphasized Małgorzata Gosiewska.
The MEP noted that the true reality of Europe is not based on gender ideologies, but on nations, the family, and values.
“Reality is neither rainbow-colored nor gender-based. Its foundation is nation-states, the family—mom and dad—and raising children to respect principles,” she said.
Małgorzata Gosiewska pointed out that where the family remains strong, there are no social pathologies, no persecution, and no real discrimination. She also pointed out that weakening the family leads to dramatic moral and social consequences, including the relativization of the protection of life.
In her speech, the MEP emphasized the role of Christian values as the foundation for protecting the dignity of every human being.
“We Christians protect everyone not because the law commands it, but in accordance with the law of love, which is the foundation of the family,” she noted.
In conclusion, Małgorzata Gosiewska called on EU institutions to “come to their senses” and return to the roots of the European Union.
“Instead of treating social ills with ideological poison, start protecting and supporting families. They are the only real bulwark against the collapse of Europe,” she concluded, pointing to the daycare center at the European Parliament as a symbol of true values and respect for human life.
