Bogdan Rzońca on the 2025 budget

Bogdan Rzońca on the 2025 budget

A debate on the general guidelines for preparing the 2025 budget took place today in Strasbourg. PiS MEP Bogdan Rzońca took part in the discussion.

Bogdan Rzońca noted that the debate on next year’s budget is taking place amid significant unrest in the European Union. The MEP stated that Europeans want to know why companies are leaving the European Union, farmers are protesting, jobs are being lost, and Europe is becoming less and less safe. He also noted that citizens do not have the money to pay their electricity and heating bills, and all signs indicate that this problem will only worsen. Although he stated that a certain compromise had been reached and some of the ECR’s amendments had been supported, he announced that the ECR group would abstain from voting on this report. The Polish politician attributed this to the document’s clear and strong support for the Green Deal and for reproductive and sexual rights. “These are not the most important guidelines for preparing the budget. The most important issues should be those related to the economy, and in this regard, unfortunately, we have not done enough, the MEP concluded.
