Mariusz Kamiński: "Germany's 'Herzlich Willkommen' policy is suicidal for Germany and poses a threat to all of Europe"

Mariusz Kamiński: "Germany's 'Herzlich Willkommen' policy is suicidal for Germany and poses a threat to all of Europe"

In Strasbourg, during a plenary session of the European Parliament, lawmakers discussed the need to prevent security threats by “addressing illegal migration and ensuring effective returns,” in the context of the recent attack in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, which left three people dead. PiS MEP Mariusz Kamiński spoke during the discussion.

The PiS MEP recalled that in 2021, when Lukashenko’s Belarusian regime sought to create a new route for illegal migration to the European Union through Poland, he was the Minister of the Interior. As he explained, thousands of illegal migrants from the Middle East at the Polish-Belarusian border were chanting “Germany! Germany! Germany!” at the time. According to Kamiński, the reason is obvious: generous social benefits, the ease of obtaining legal residency, an ineffective deportation policy, and the existence of dense Muslim communities in many German cities where it is easy to hide. “Germany’s ‘Herzlich Willkommen’ policy is suicidal for Germany and poses a threat to all of Europe, the MEP emphasized.

According to the former head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the response to the threats posed by illegal migration should be a strong defense of the EU’s external borders and European Commission funding for physical engineering barriers at the Union’s external borders, as well as the implementation of simple procedures for the removal of illegal migrants and the appropriate use of Frontex and Europol. As the MEP explained, Frontex should be primarily dedicated to the effective removal of migrants from the European Union, while Europol’s task should be to combat international criminal groups involved in human trafficking. “This is the only way we can ensure the safety of Europe’s residents!” Kamiński believes.
