During the European Parliament’s final plenary session of this term, a debate was held on Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel, the need to de-escalate the conflict, and the EU’s response. PiS MEP Ryszard Czarnecki spoke during the discussion.
Ryszard Czarnecki noted that the war, which has been ongoing since October, confirms what the Iranian opposition has been saying for many years, namely, “that the Iranian regime is like the head of a snake that unleashes wars.” “The Iranian regime is an active party to two major wars that also threaten European peace,” pointed out the former vice president of the European Parliament. He reported that Iran is supplying drones and missiles used to kill Ukrainians and is supporting the war in Gaza, which has claimed so many lives. “It is high time that Ali Khamenei—the head of this serpent—paid the price for waging these wars,” argued the Polish politician. “The European Union must immediately designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, support the PMOI resistance movement in Iran, and recognize its right to fight the regime,” appealed the former vice president of the European Parliament.
