A debate on the European economic security strategy took place in Strasbourg during a plenary session of the European Parliament. Ryszard Czarnecki, former Vice-President of the European Parliament, spoke during the debate.
Ryszard Czarnecki stated that the European economic security strategy must be supported, but that it is also worth creating a comprehensive map of threats and vulnerabilities to economic security. “We need tools that will effectively protect both the scientific and research process and the technological and industrial base,” noted the former Vice President of the European Parliament. Ryszard Czarnecki emphasized that close cooperation between the High Representative of the Union, the European Commission, and the member states is essential in this regard. The Polish politician also argued for the need for a lively dialogue between the European Union and the United States.
